Candelilla wax is a botanical wax derived from the leaves of the candelilla shrub, native to the arid landscapes of northern Mexico and the southwestern U.S. Naturally rich in esters and hydrocarbons, it provides firmness and gloss to solid formulations while creating a smooth, lightweight barrier on the skin.

We use candelilla wax to give structure and elegant slip to our balms and butter bars—without the heaviness of traditional waxes. It’s especially valued in vegan or low-wax formulas where a polished finish and soft skin feel are key.
